Head Start/PreK Application Day

Dimmitt ISD will be having the Head Start/PreK Application Day, Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 8:30 - 3:00 for 3 and 4 year olds. Please c all 806-647-4425 and speak to Julia Quintana or Apolonia Castillo for more information. If you are a DISD employee and your child is not already enrolled, then please speak to Kim Hays about registering children ages 6 weeks to 4 years of age.

Letterman to Leadership Scholarship

Family Consumer Science Class

The students in Coach Montelongo's Family Consumer Science class made a display of MY PLATE, HEALTHY PLATE! Students learned about the importance of the The Food Pyramid and proper servings for each food groups.

Band UIL Concert and Sight Reading contest

On March the 5th the Dimmitt HS Band went to Panhandle HS to perform in the UIL Concert and Sight Reading contest.  We came away with straight 1s on stage and a 1, 2, 2 in sight reading.  The Band has not received a overall stage rating since 2015 and and even that was not straight ones. This is an achievement that has not been done here at Dimmitt for several years and we cannot be more proud of the students for . . .

Caribbean Foods projects

  Spanish 2 students worked on  Caribbean  Foods projects. The students learn basic steps of cooking in Spanish, and they prepare different dishes from Puerto Rico at home and they share their cooking with the Spanish class.
