TCEA Closing Keynote with Gerry Brooks

I was privileged to be able to attend, present, and lead at the TCEA Convention and Exposition in Austin this past week. TCEA is a global non-profit member-based organization based in Austin dedicated to advancing teaching and learning through the use of technology. I get to represent Region 16 as the area 16 board member for TCEA. A group from Dimmitt ISD made up of teachers, administrators, technology leaders, and others journeyed to the conference to attend many sessions led by peers, bloggers, authors, advocates for technology integration, and those "famous" in educational circles. Attendees earned CPE credits and broadened their PLN's (personal learning networks). Among the many popular speakers was a principal from Kentucky who has become an internet sensation. Gerry Brooks inspired us to be conscious of our personal climate and culture. He encouraged us to surround ourselves with positive people so we can be our best for our students. I can't wait to see what the TCEA 2021 Convention and Exposition has to offer in Dallas next February! (cue the Dallas theme)
